Droit-Arnoux Motorsport (DAMS) has signed up to Formula E, claims technology website TechVehi.com. The site states that the appointment of the French team was revealed at the Monaco SportTel event on Monday that was used to present the new racing series to the world’s broadcasters.
DAMS is an established racing team, headquartered near Le Mans in France, and currently competes in GP2, Formula Renault 3.5 and the Porsche Supercup. Team co-founder Jean-Paul Droit was also closely involved in A1 GP.
During the presentation of the Spark-Renault SRT_01E in Monaco, the first French team was announced. The team could not resist a new challenge. The official announcement is coming and the ceremony will be held on October 24 in Paris at the Atelier Renault.
