Berlin brings chequered flag to Formula E first series circuits

Berlin was officially announced today as the 10th and final host city for the inaugural Formula E series. The German capital becomes the third European track. The race is expected to take place at the site of the old Tempelhof airport, now the largest public park in Berlin. Temporary stands will accommodate 30,000 spectators, facing the crescent-shaped terminal building.

“We are delighted to be in Berlin and very grateful to the Senator and to the Berlin authorities for welcoming our championship to their city,” said promoter Alejandro Agag.
